Not heating
A failed element, thermostat or sensor, or a wiring or control fault, can all stop an appliance heating.

No heat, drum and airflow faults on all common dryer types.
Our tumble dryer repairs cover dryers with no heat, a drum that won’t turn, slow drying, airflow problems, unusual noises, and control, sensor and error-code faults. Vented, condenser and heat-pump dryers work differently, so both the type of dryer and the symptom matter to the diagnosis.
Stop using a dryer that overheats, smells of burning, produces smoke or trips the electrics. Switch it off and unplug it if it’s safe to do so, keep the door closed if there is smoke, and call 999 if there is a fire. Don’t restart it to see whether the fault clears.
Clean the lint filter and any condenser you can reach, exactly as your manual describes, but don’t remove covers. Note whether the drum turns, the air gets warm, water collects in the tank, or an error code appears.
Major appliance brands
We check your model and the fault before confirming the visit.

01 / Find the fault
The same symptom can have several causes, so the engineer confirms the fault before recommending a repair.
A failed element, thermostat or sensor, or a wiring or control fault, can all stop an appliance heating.
Belt, drive, motor and control faults can all stop the drum turning.
Long drying times often point to an airflow, sensing, heating or maintenance issue.
Tell us the symptoms, any error code and when the problem started so we can assess the repair properly.
A few details help us check the repair is suitable and help your engineer come prepared.
Note any error codes, unusual sounds and when the fault began. A photo of the model label also helps.
Don’t keep using an appliance that leaks, overheats, trips the electrics, smells of burning or has damaged glass.
Mention cabinetry, stairs, parking or tight spaces. Please don’t pull out a heavy or integrated appliance yourself.
02 / Know the cost
Your online quote covers the labour. Any model-specific part is priced separately, so you see both costs before deciding.
Based on the appliance, installation and postcode you enter, and shown before we ask for any contact details.
Any replacement part is explained and priced separately. We use genuine or OEM parts wherever possible.
Age, condition, part availability and the total cost all help decide whether repair or replacement is the better option.
Tell us whether your dryer is vented, condenser or heat pump, and whether it’s stacked, integrated or enclosed. Mention cabinetry, a fixed vent, stairs or restricted side access rather than pulling the dryer out yourself.
The fixed quote covers diagnosis and repair labour. Belts, heaters, sensors, motors and other model-specific parts are priced separately before fitting, using genuine or OEM parts wherever possible. The engineer considers age, efficiency, condition and total cost before recommending a repair.
You’ll know where things stand at every step, from booking the visit to deciding on any parts.
We offer same-day or next-day appointments whenever an engineer is available in your area.
Certified technicians arrive in stocked vans, carrying the tools and commonly needed parts for domestic appliance repairs.
We use genuine or OEM parts wherever possible. If the right part is on the van, the repair can be finished on the same visit.

Common questions
Answers on pricing, suitability and common faults before you book.
You’ll see a fixed labour quote online before you book, covering the diagnosis and repair. Any belt, motor, heater or sensor is quoted separately and only fitted once you agree.
Slow drying often comes from blocked airflow, or a failing heater or sensor on condenser and heat-pump models. The engineer can find the cause and tell you whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.
It depends on the model, installation and fault. Tell us the exact dryer type when you request a visit so we can confirm we can help before the appointment.
