Information we collect
A quote can be requested without a name, phone number or email address. We process the appliance, brand, installation type and postcode to calculate it. If you request a visit, we also collect your contact details, service address, issue description, appointment preference and quote details. General enquiries contain the information entered in the contact form.
Address lookup
When you request a quote, we use a postcode-checking service to check that your postcode exists. If you choose “Find my address”, we use an address-lookup service to find matching addresses. You can also enter your address manually.
Telephone messages
When you call, our telephone service processes your caller number where available, the number dialled and call details. If you leave a voicemail, your message is recorded. We store call details and send voicemail recordings or missed-call notifications to our team so we can respond. Please include a callback number in your message if your caller ID is withheld. Original recordings are normally deleted 30 days after successful email notification; messages awaiting delivery may be kept longer. Copies in our email system and service records follow the retention policy below.
Why we use information
We use it to provide quotes, respond to enquiries, arrange and manage repairs, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, send transactional messages, maintain service records and meet legal obligations. Depending on the activity, this is necessary to respond to your request, perform a contract, comply with law or pursue the legitimate operation and security of the service.
Who receives it
Information may be shared with the engineer or service partner handling the request and with providers that support our website, data storage, communications, postcode and address checks, and customer service systems. These providers may only use the information to deliver those services. We do not sell enquiry data.
Retention and security
Records are retained only for as long as reasonably required to provide the service, handle complaints or repair cover, maintain accounting and audit records, prevent fraud and comply with law. We restrict access to personal information and use safeguards to protect it during storage and transfer.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy of personal information. Some information may need to be retained where there is a legal or operational reason.
